TVS Shows Four Europe-Ready Models At EICMA: Orbiter, TVS X, M1-S And RTR 125

TVS Motor has presented four production-ready two-wheelers at EICMA 2026 in Milan: the Orbiter, M1-S and X electric scooters, along with the RTR 125 petrol motorcycle. The company is using the event to expand its presence in Europe, where it is building a larger dealer and service network. These are European-market models, and TVS has not announced Indian launch dates for the new specifications.

There is a distinction worth making. The Orbiter and TVS X are already sold in India, while the M1-S has also been shown at an earlier EICMA event. This year’s announcement is not the unveiling of four completely new products for domestic buyers. The significant developments are their European specifications, the RTR 125 and TVS’s plans to grow overseas.

The European Orbiter comes with 1.8kWh and 3.1kWh battery options, delivering claimed WMTC ranges of 70km and 105km respectively. Its top speed is limited to 45kph to meet Europe’s L1e category requirements. It also gets 34 litres of underseat storage and a battery that can be removed and charged inside a home using a dedicated dock.

The removable battery is particularly interesting because

The removable battery is particularly interesting because the Orbiter sold here uses a fixed battery. TVS’s own India FAQ explicitly says owners should not remove it. Indian Orbiters also have different performance and range claims: the 1.8kWh and 3.1kWh versions are rated at up to 92km and 158km respectively on the IDC cycle, with a higher top speed. The European WMTC numbers should not be compared directly with the Indian IDC figures.

A removable battery could help customers living in flats without a charging point near their parking space. Whether TVS will bring this arrangement here remains unconfirmed, and changing battery packaging would require proper engineering and certification rather than a simple accessory swap.

The TVS M1-S targets buyers looking for a maxi-scooter. It has a 4.2kWh battery, a motor producing 12.5kW of peak power and a claimed top speed of 105kph. TVS says charging from 10% to 80% takes 75 minutes, although actual results depend on the charging equipment.

A low-mounted battery should help keep the centre

A low-mounted battery should help keep the centre of gravity down, while the 26-litre storage compartment is designed to accommodate a full-face helmet. LTE connectivity allows online functions without pairing a smartphone. TVS has not confirmed a domestic price or launch plan for the M1-S.

The European TVS X has an aluminium frame, 14-inch wheels and dual-channel ABS. It produces 11.7kW, with a claimed 110kph top speed and 0-40kph acceleration in 2.5 seconds. Equipment includes a 10.2-inch touchscreen, Android Auto, navigation and independent LTE connectivity.

Indian buyers already know the TVS X as a premium electric scooter, priced at approximately Rs 2.66 lakh ex-showroom on TVS’s website. The European version’s equipment should not be assumed to be identical to the domestic model, particularly where braking or connectivity features differ.

The fourth model is the RTR 125,

The fourth model is the RTR 125, a lightweight petrol motorcycle intended for European riders with an A1 licence. TVS has not yet provided a detailed engine-output or pricing sheet in this announcement. It will join the company’s European motorcycle range alongside models such as the RR 310, RTR 310, Ronin and RTX 300.

TVS says it now has more than 100 retailers in Italy, where sales have grown 110% over the past year, plus 22 retailers in Spain and Portugal. France and Germany are next in its distribution plans. The company wants international operations to contribute 30% or more of overall revenue by 2030. TVS has not given final European prices or availability dates for the four models.
