BENDA unveiled the Dark Flag 600 Ultra EC at EICMA 2026 in Milan, presenting a new cruiser that combines a V4 engine with electronic clutch control, second-generation dual-chamber rear air suspension and an all-new frame. Its European launch is planned for 2027, with two power options, including a 35 kW version for A2 licence holders.

The new model expands the Dark Flag family with a technology-focused approach that is unusual in this segment. Alongside its four-cylinder configuration, the Ultra EC introduces features designed to make everyday riding more convenient, while retaining the option for the rider to operate the clutch manually. The equipment list also includes electronic throttle control, cruise control and a cockpit featuring two displays.
V4 engine and all-new twin-spar frame
At the heart of the BENDA Dark Flag
At the heart of the BENDA Dark Flag 600 Ultra EC is a liquid-cooled, 16-valve V4 engine. The launch information specifies a displacement of 598.5 cc, with maximum power of 52 kW at 10,500 rpm, equivalent to approximately 70.7 hp, and 55 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm. Power is delivered through a six-speed gearbox, with belt final drive and electronic throttle control.
However, the technical specification table supplied by the manufacturer lists different figures for displacement and torque: 948 cc and 85 Nm respectively. This creates a discrepancy between the descriptive information and the technical table that BENDA will need to clarify before the final specifications can be confirmed. The bore and stroke figures listed in the same table, 63 x 48 mm, correspond to a total displacement of approximately 598.5 cc for a four-cylinder engine.
The chassis is another major part of the development. The Dark Flag 600 Ultra EC features an entirely new twin-spar frame which, compared with the Dark Flag 500 Commander, is 3.5 kg lighter and offers 40% greater torsional rigidity. The revised layout also allows BENDA to replace the side-mounted airbox with a larger central intake, bringing a claimed 30% improvement in intake efficiency.
The new packaging has also been used
The new packaging has also been used to improve ergonomics. Overall width has been reduced by more than 40 mm, while the footpegs have been repositioned 11 mm compared with the previous model. BENDA aims to provide more legroom and a less restrictive riding position while retaining the proportions expected of a cruiser.
Dual-chamber air suspension and BEC Mk III electronic clutch
The Dark Flag 600 Ultra EC introduces the second generation of BENDA’s dual-chamber rear air suspension. The system automatically levels the motorcycle when it is switched on and lowers it when the engine is turned off. This allows the bike to sit lower when parked while returning to its riding configuration for use. It is also intended to make mounting, dismounting and frequent stops more convenient.
The other major feature is the third-generation BEC (BENDA Electronic Clutch) Mk III system. It allows the rider to pull away, change gear and stop without operating the clutch lever. Gear selection remains manual through the foot-operated shift mechanism, retaining the conventional six-speed gearbox layout.
The clutch lever is still fitted, giving riders
The clutch lever is still fitted, giving riders the choice between electronic clutch operation and conventional manual control. The system is designed to reduce the effort required in urban traffic and during repeated stop-start situations without removing the option of direct clutch operation.
Electronic throttle control completes the package, while one-touch cruise control adds convenience on longer journeys. The technical specification also lists traction control (TCS) and a side-stand cut-off system.
LED lighting, dual displays and distinctive details
The Dark Flag 600 Ultra EC combines traditional cruiser proportions with more contemporary styling features. At the front, a central LED projector headlight is framed by four fang-shaped daytime running light elements, creating a distinctive lighting signature.
The cockpit consists of a main TFT display
The cockpit consists of a main TFT display and a secondary screen integrated into the fuel tank, showing information such as coolant temperature and fuel level. Two charging ports, USB-A and USB-C, are also provided for compatible devices.
BENDA has added several distinctive finishing touches. The Orion seat features specific stitching, while a one-piece, thick-wall acrylic badge and chrome-accented, gamepad-inspired switchgear give the motorcycle a more individual appearance. Symmetrical dual-sided exhaust outlets complete the design.

A2 version and European launch planned for 2027
The BENDA Dark Flag 600 Ultra EC is scheduled to reach Europe in 2027. The manufacturer plans to offer a 52 kW version alongside a restricted 35 kW variant for A2 licence holders. Three colours have been announced: Cast Green, Mecha Black and Stella Grey.
According to the supplied technical specification, the cruiser
According to the supplied technical specification, the cruiser measures 2,320 mm in length, 907 mm in width and 1,108 mm in height. Its wheelbase is 1,588 mm, while seat height ranges from 680 to 730 mm. Kerb weight is listed at 254 kg and fuel capacity is 16 litres.
The front suspension uses a telescopic fork, while the rear features the dual-chamber air system. Braking is handled by discs at both ends, with ABS. Tyre sizes are 130/90-16 at the front and 180/65-16 at the rear.
The Dark Flag 600 Ultra EC therefore brings together a V4 engine, an electronic clutch with manual override and rear air suspension that automatically adjusts the motorcycle’s height. Its European launch is planned for 2027, with prices, country-specific availability and final technical specifications still to be confirmed, particularly the conflicting displacement and torque figures in the information released.
