Dubai Fitness Challenge 2026: Where to find free workouts and classes for 30 days
Discover free fitness classes, outdoor workouts and activities across Dubai for 30 days.
Thirty minutes of exercise a day for 30 days. That’s the idea behind The Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) which returns for its 10th edition from October 31 to November 29.
But if the thought of spending an hour on a treadmill doesn’t appeal, there’s plenty more to try. Think kayaking, sailing, beach workouts, sound healing, dance classes, cycling and even interactive fitness games.
With three free Fitness Villages and more than 30 Community Fitness Hubs opening across Dubai, residents can try something new without signing up for a gym membership. Here are some of the free activities worth adding to your calendar.
1. Do Pilates with a sea view at Palm West Beach
Why settle for a studio when you can exercise beside the Arabian Gulf? The West Beach x Wellfit and Boxica Fitness Hub is bringing free morning and evening classes to Palm West Beach from October 31 to November 29.
Choose from yoga, Pilates, LIFT, IGNITE, Les Mills, Wellrun and family workouts. Morning classes run from 6am to 9.30am, while evening sessions take place from 5pm to 7.45pm.
No advance booking or gym membership is required. Simply walk in, sign a waiver and join an available class.
2. Try yoga beside Dubai Aquarium
A yoga session with a rather unusual backdrop awaits at Dubai Mall Aquarium. Veo Fitness is hosting a free yoga and sound healing experience on October 31.
It’s a different way to start the weekend, particularly if your usual morning routine involves hitting the snooze button.
3. Take your workout to the water
Prefer being in the water to lifting weights? Several DFC hubs are offering aquatic activities.
At Veo Manzil in Downtown Dubai, try AquaFit on November 7, from 5pm to 7pm. Veo Meadows and Veo Arabian Ranches 2 will also host AquaFit, yoga and cycling sessions on November 14, from 9am to 11am.
The Rixos The Palm Dubai Fitness Hub is another option, with CrossFit, TRX, group cycling and aqua workouts, alongside recovery experiences.
4. Go kayaking or try stand-up paddleboarding
The Paddlers Hub UAE Fitness Hub at Jumeirah 2 Beach is bringing kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding and Mega SUP sessions to the challenge.
Whether you’re a first-timer or already comfortable on the water, it’s an opportunity to swap your usual workout for something a little more adventurous. Families can also join in.
5. Try sailing at Mina Rashid
Ever considered sailing as a workout? Wind Rises Sailing at Mina Rashid is offering beginner-friendly sailing experiences.
Expect to work on your balance, coordination, endurance and teamwork while learning something new. It’s a rather different way to clock your daily 30 minutes.
6. Take on a Pac-Man-inspired fitness challenge
Your childhood arcade favourite is getting a fitness makeover. HyperFit360’s Pac-Man Fitness Hub in Al Quoz brings interactive fitness games and immersive workouts powered by 360-degree projections.
It’s an opportunity to combine movement with gaming, without having to sit in front of a screen.
7. Dance, cycle and recover at Address Sky View
Veo Fitness is also taking its wellness programme to Address Sky View on November 8.
The morning session, running from 7am to 8am, features Hatha yoga and sound healing. It’s a chance to slow down, stretch and start Sunday with a little less rushing around.
