‘Pivot’ Expands Beyond Podcasting With New Newsletter.

Vox Media’s “Pivot” is expanding its relationship with listeners beyond the podcast feed. Hosts Kara Swisher and Scott Galloway are launching a weekly newsletter, creating another way to engage their audience with deeper coverage of business and technology news, expert insights and direct responses to listener questions.

The newsletter, called “Pivot Post,” debuts Monday (Nov. 2), the same day the podcast kicks off its national live tour. It is being producedour, giving the newsletter platform a prominent role in the show’s expansion beyond audio

Published every Monday, “Pivot Post” will build on the conversations that have made “Pivot” a destination for analysis of technology, business and politics. Swisher and Galloway plan to enlist experts connected to the podcast to answer audience questions about how major business developments affect their lives and communities.

The hosts will also respond directly to selected

The hosts will also respond directly to selected advice questions from listeners, creating a more consistent outlet for the audience interaction that already takes place through the show’s inbox.

“‘Pivot’ audiences are smart and thoughtful and also tolerant to listen to us bicker so much. Since they know more than we do, they will be thesletter’s topics,” Swisher and Galloway say in a joint statement. “We always say we love interacting with fans and the ‘Pivot Post’ with Beehiiv is a place to do it more consistently and up close.”

The move reflects a broader opportunity for established podcasts to extend their brands into newsletters and other formats that keep audiences engaged between episodes. For “Pivot,” which releases new episodes every Tuesday and Friday through the Vox Media Podcast Network, a Monday newsletter creates another regular touchpoint with fans while giving the hosts room to explore stories and questions beyond the podcast’s usual format. It also provides a direct channel to subscribers, an increasingly valuable asset for creators and media companies seeking to build audience relationships that extend beyond podcast listening platforms.

“I’ve been listening to ‘Pivot’ for years, and what Kara and Scott have built is something most media companies would kill for: a loyal audience that keeps coming back because it wants to hear what they think,” says Beehiiv CEO Tyler Denk. “The newsletter gives them a way to further own that audience relationship and extend an already incredibly successful brand.”

Beehiiv introduced podcast hosting in April and it has just launched a podcast advertising business, introducing programmatic ad sales, dynamic ad insertion and campaign management tools as the newsletter platform expands its push into audio. The expansion is part of Beehiiv’s broader strategy to give creators a single platform for distributing content, building audiences and generating revenue across multiple formats.
