We cover a lot of hard news here Drive. You know, the stuff that keeps you updated about the automotive industry and the enthusiast landscape. Other times, we don’t do that. Other times, we write silly car-related things because it’s fun. This is one of those times. Recently a giant banana was pulled down in Montana, and as Cowboy State Daily Put it this way, it wasn’t the first time.

According to Montana State Police, the giant banana car and its driver, Steve Braithwaite, were pulled over near Billings because a portion of the license plate was blocked. He did not get the ticket. Also, the plate reads “Split.”

β€œWe have stopped speeding, distracted drivers and even some unusual vehicles… but this is definitely different.

Safe travels, Montana,” said the Montana State Police Facebook page.

According to reports, Braithwaite has been pulled over hundreds of times while driving his banana car across the country over the past decade. In fact, he believes that during the first few years he had it he was one of the most frequently pulled over men in America.

“Walking into Bananas and having all these people, all these smiles and waves, blows me away. It’s really something spectacular,” she told the outlet.

He also claims he was once pulled over for “peeling”, which was definitely a joke.

one more report Braithwaite claims to have started working on the fiberglass banana in 2008 and completed it in 2011. It is based on a 1993 Ford F-150 and measures approximately 23 feet from end to end.

Keep going, Steve.
