The MotoGP series reached the halfway point in Germany last weekend. The counter-clockwise track, dominated by Marc Márquez for years, saw him win both races and move closer to the championship lead.

On Saturday, Marquez led from pole position followed by his brother Alex, also on a Ducati, and both took the checkered flag ahead of Fabio di Giannantonio (Ducati).

In Sunday’s GP race the Marquez brothers once again took first and second positions in the first 10 laps, before Alex crashed out (no injuries). Marc Marquez won the battle between Ai Ogura and Raul Fernandez aboard the Aprilia. Ogura eventually pulled the gap to second and Fernandez took third.

Previous points leader Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia) broke his collarbone during qualifying and did not race. We understand he has had successful surgery and is expected to return for the next round after the summer break.

Jorge Marin (Aprilia) has opened up a slim lead of 14 points over Ai Ogura in the championship. For full results and scores from Saturday’s sprint race, visit the MotoGP site Here. For full results and scores from Sunday’s MotoGP race, visit the MotoGP site Here.
