Last week, I attended GunCon. In industrial events, it stands out as the best. I have a close relationship with TGC’s John Patton and Cody Hinton, who host and organize the event, but this is an objective opinion: If you’re a firearms enthusiast, you really should be there. People travel far and wide to attend. Whether you’re there to see your favorite brand, discover a new one, attend a panel, or meet your favorite Gunfluencers, GunCon is the right place for you. It has also become a hub for new and interesting products from established brands and startups. I enjoy the weird and wacky. This is what makes gun collecting fun. was one of the most unusual Deria Ranx-A “pistol” version of the lever gun with a folding brace. Strange? Yes. Sign me up.

The Derya RanX pistol brings a fresh take on the lever-action platform, blending classic operation with modern features in a compact, hard-hitting package. Built around a monoblock steel receiver (Winchester 1892 clone), the pistol is designed to provide greater durability and strength while reducing vibration than many imported alternatives, resulting in longer smooth operation and superior accuracy. Offered in .357 Magnum, .44 Magnum, and .45 Long Colt, the RANX offers a capacity of four to six rounds depending on the caliber.
The black Melonite finish protects the pistol from harsh conditions while giving it a sleek, attractive appearance. At only 22.83 inches long, with a 12-inch barrel and an unloaded weight of 5.48 pounds, the platform is designed to be both portable and capable.

Where RanX really sets itself apart is its adaptability. The aluminum IronWolf grip incorporates Steel Fang PSB technology, adjustment features, M-LOK compatibility, and a QD attachment point, allowing shooters to tailor the fit to their preferences.
Up front, a sturdy aluminum M-LOK forend with an integrated Picatinny rail supports a wide range of accessories, while a threaded barrel adds suppressor compatibility. Fixed front and adjustable rear sights work with Picatinny-ready rails, making it easy to transition from traditional irons to modern optics. The pistol utilizes a rebounding hammer safety system and comes packaged with a carry bag, user manual, WTTA flyer, cleaning cloth and tools.

Priced at $899, the Derya RanX is aimed at shooters looking for a lever-action pistol that combines heritage style with contemporary performance and modularity. Unfortunately, this was one of the few guns I couldn’t shoot on range day. It’s hard to hit everything, and I regret not getting a round. When I see this, I think of the Shorty-suppressed truck gun.
