Bodybuilders often share their core workouts on social media, demonstrating the heaviest repetitions of the day, but becoming a competitive flexer is a lifestyle that begins from the moment an athlete wakes up. To show what happens in the first half of her day, British Nigerian bodybuilder, Yinka Majolagbe, who goes by the nickname “MajonMuscle”, recently shared her morning routine online.
Mazonmuskal is preparing for the 212-division final at the 2026 Olympia in Las Vegas, After qualifying at the IFBB EVLS Prague Pro, So there is not a single moment to waste.
What is Yinka Majolagbe’s morning routine?
Yinka Majolagbe starts her day with electrolytes and multivitamins, followed by a fasted cardio session on the Stairmaster. He also does abdominal work, calf raises, posing exercises and progress checks before eating a high-protein breakfast consisting of rice pudding, whey protein, eggs and raspberries.
Electrolytes
The first thing Majolagbe eats in the morning is not protein, but a dose of electrolytes and multi-vitamins. “It’s just to hydrate yourself and get all your vitamins,” explains Mazonmuskal, who wants to start the day off right and avoid cramps.
Fasted Cardio Workout
There aren’t any grunts heard through the heavy barbell during Majolagbe’s morning routine, as he stops at his local gym for a fasted cardio session. “I usually go to the gym,” says the 212 contestants representing the UK. He is eager to take as many steps forward as possible.
Majolagbe’s fasted cardio session includes 30 minutes on the Stairmaster. “Maybe even 40, depending on what Nathan says,” the Olympia contender explains. Follows his coach Nathan Smart Advice.
While in the gym, the bodybuilder also makes use of the space with some ab work, and even does some calf raises to further stimulate the muscles that were put on the Stairmaster.
Raspberries after reps
Mazonamuskal stops briefly on his way home from the gym after his rep to pick up some raspberries for a snack. “They’re one of my favorites,” he says of the super-efficient fruit that’s a treasure trove of nutrients like vitamins C, K, and E, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, and even fiber for digestion.
Posture and progress assessment
Back home, the Vegas-bound bodybuilder gets in front of the camera to practice his posing. Majonmuskal also sends pictures to his coach so that together they can set standards for the days to come. “If it’s Friday, I’ll send a check-in to Nathan and he’ll tell me what to do for the week ahead,” Majologbe explains.
What does Yinka Majolagbe eat for breakfast?
Having already finished his morning workout and posing, Majonmuskal includes 150 grams of rice pudding mix for breakfast. She then added 30 grams of whey protein along with 3 eggs to create a clean meal that included ample amounts of carbs, protein, and healthy fats. Then the big man adds a sweet flavoring like carrot cake to his rice pudding. “Absolutely delicious guys,” he confirms of the mix. Majonmuskal throws his remaining raspberries into his bowl of rice pudding and proceeds to destroy his breakfast. “And this is routine guys,” Majolagbe concluded.
Fasted cardio is preferred by many bodybuilders because it is a great way to jumpstart fat loss without burning the energy already expended in the morning. But Majolagbe’s routine also shows that winning trophies on the bodybuilding stage requires more than an intensive approach to pumping iron, with hydration and nutrients also essential to the muscle-building mix.
The proof will be in the (rice) pudding when Mazonmuscle gets a chance to test his routine on the 212 Olympia stage in Las Vegas from September 24 to 27, 2026. For more information on bodybuilding’s most prestigious event, Click here.
