Want a new Beta dirt bike? Why not save a lot of money by racing?

Factory racing gets all the headlines, but it’s never where most motorcycles earn their reputation. That’s the job of weekend racers, who load up pickup trucks before sunrise, wheel bikes into folding chairs, and try to navigate through muddy rabbit holes without crashing into trees. These are the riders everyone pays attention to, and Beta wants more of them to wear red.

The Italian off-road brand has announced its comeback Beta Rippers Support Program For the 2027 season, expanding a grassroots initiative that helps local racers get to the starting line, as well as putting more beta motorcycles in front of the people most likely to buy them.

Unlike a factory tour, it’s not about a free motorcycle or a paycheck. Riders apply through participating beta dealerships, who decide who will join the program based on their local racing community and how well they represent both the dealer and the brand. In other words, Beta is looking for ambassadors just like racers.

The incentives aren’t bad either. Selected riders receive a 10% discount on the new 2027 Beta motorcycle, a $300 dealership parts credit, and official Beta team apparel including a polo shirt and hat. If you were already planning on buying a new Beta, the discount alone could knock the price of many models down by nearly a thousand dollars, before you can even redeem the parts credit.

One interesting detail is that Beta only says that the discount applies to “2027 Beta motorcycles.” It doesn’t single out specific models or racing disciplines, suggesting the offer extends to the company’s off-road lineup, whether you’re eyeing a RR enduro bike, RX Motocrosser, Xtrainer, or even one of Beta’s test machines. Of course, dealerships still control who is accepted, and availability ultimately depends on what each dealer has in stock.

From a beta perspective, strategy makes a lot of sense. National championships are great for bragging rights, but at local races riders spend the entire weekend talking about motorcycles, comparing setups, and convincing their friends what to buy next. A handful of enthusiastic ambassadors can be far more valuable than another flashy marketing campaign.

If you’re already racing hair scrambles, enduros, motocross, or cross-country events and are considering the beta, this might be the cheapest excuse you’ll get to finally pull the trigger. Just don’t wait too long. Beta says spaces are limited, and each dealership decides who makes the cut.
