Nordstrom Rack is one of the only retailers that offers Birkenstock discounts with any regularity. This week, as summer kicks off, it’s all about the brand’s corduroy Arizonas. This pair just went live on the rack, and you can get them at a rare 30% off discount.
Normally priced at $130, the price of the Birkenstock Corduroy Arizona Sandals is down to $90 at Nordstrom Rack. The sale is only for the Indigo Blue sandals, but all sizes are available and on sale for the same price at the time of writing. If you like Birkenstocks, but corduroy isn’t really your jam, you can opt for the Arizona Soft Slide Sandal in Basalt, which is on sale for $120 at Rack.

The corduroy embossing here is a surface treatment on suede, not actual woven fabric, so it maintains the same soft feel as the OG Arizona upper while adding a corduroy twist. Nothing changes underneath, as you still get the cork-latex footbed and deep heel cup that will mold to the shape of your foot. They’re crafted with a flexible EVA outsole that keeps them lightweight without compromising the cushioning the cork footbed gives you.
Even with these Birkenstock sales at Nordstrom Rack, it’s rare to see a big dog (Arizona or Boston) on sale at such a deep discount. The corduroy embossing also makes this edition feel like a limited seasonal release, so they could be even more unique (or valuable) if discontinued.

Since there has been a bit of a drop in them recently in 2023, the reviews are still coming. And while there aren’t any on Nordstrom Rack, there are some on Birkenstock’s site. One of those reviewers commented on the “very nice colors,” adding, “I’m enjoying their comfort.”
There aren’t really too many reviews for these, but the only real difference is the corduroy straps. This means you’re still getting Birkenstock’s famous cork-latex footbed that will mold to your feet over time.
Getting a pair of flagship Birks for under a hundred bucks is always a win, and the corduroy Arizona sandals are no exception at $90. However, the sizes are already running out, so you might want to grab a pair soon.
