Toyota has updated the 2027 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro and Sequoia TRD Pro with a new suspension and front-end design. The signature color of the new 2027 TRD Pro is Honeycomb Yellow. The 2027 Tundra, Tacoma and Sequoia TRD Pro are painted in this signature new color. The 2027 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro gets another exterior color. This shade of yellow is called hot honey. 2027 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro Details
Let’s start with the 2027 Tundra and Sequoia updates because they’re the most extensive. As we already know from the company’s Tundra Trailhunter and Sequoia Trailhunter announcements, these get front-end design updates. The front bumper is different. These trucks get new front recovery hooks and new rigid fog lamps.
The interior has been updated with a standard 14-inch center display for all Tundra and Sequoia trim levels. The steering wheel looks slightly different with the updated cruise control and other buttons. The new Tundra and Sequoia get Toyota’s latest TSS 4.0 driver assistance technology suite.
2027 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro
Both the 2027 Tundra TRD Pro and Sequoia TRD Pro get specially tuned FOX QS3 adjustable shocks. The Tundra and Sequoia suspension is tuned specifically for the vehicle’s weight and size. Currently, the Tacoma TRD Pro and 4Runner TRD Pro have their own version of the QS3 shocks. Now, their elder brothers also get the same.
QS3 stands for “Quick Switch 3” dampers. The shocks are equipped with three-position switch valves that control damper response from soft to stiff. This suspension selection is effective, but requires the driver to get under the vehicle when turning the knobs to the desired setting at each of the four corners. This may get a little messy.
As you can see, the 2027 Tundra TRD Pro undercarriage is highlighted with a lot of red parts. The front springs and shocks are raised. As is the TRD logo on the front anti-sway bar and skid plate.
Take a look at the design of the new Tundra Front Recovery Point. When the Tundra was redesigned for its new generation for the 2022 model year, the front tow points were removed. The main issue of controversy was frontal crash safety and pedestrian safety. The new design appears to solve the problem. The recovery points look like they could be pushed in for a more gentle impact during a frontal collision. However, you can still pull them with enough force to help and recover another vehicle.
2027 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro
We don’t have much information or photos of the 2027 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro. This is the only image of the Tacoma in Honeycomb color. The two-tone black roof is a nice touch.
2027 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro
The new 2027 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro is the only one in the TRD Pro family to have its own Hot Honey Yellow exterior color. It’s not entirely clear why the new 4Runner stands out this way. Please stay tuned as we’ll be bringing you many more videos of these new trucks and SUVs in the coming weeks.
