I’m still mourning the end of Heartstopper, between this final book and the movie. In fact, I’m listening to the movie soundtrack while writing this post — I can’t recommend the series highly enough, both for its strange joys and its depiction of mental health struggles.
The only new book to appear here for the first time The exquisite pain of loving your enemy by Brigitte Knightley, sequel to the indomitable desire to fall before one’s enemy. The series is inspired by Harry Potter fan fiction, and personally, I’m not interested in anything that helps keep that IP alive, given that the creator uses the money made from it Funding anti-trans organizations.
Speaking of fandom and publishing, this list lacks diversity on many levels, including being disproportionately comprised of white authors. I’m interested to see that two of Isabel Wilkerson’s backlist books have recently appeared on bestseller lists – perhaps they were recommended during discussion of the 250th anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence. I know why The boy she was interested in was not a boy at all, Vol. 1 Getting the press: We recently got a teaser trailer For the upcoming anime adaptation, and it’s looking great. I really enjoy this manga series, which is so popular in F/F comics circles that it has transcended its name and is often referred to as “The Green Yuri”.
