With the new integration, Strava subscribers can connect their accounts directly to Google Gemini and ask questions about their exercise history, performance and progress. Once connected, Gemini can analyse activity records to provide insights into different aspects of training. Users can ask whether they are getting faster while maintaining the same heart rate, how strength training is affecting their performance and request a detailed breakdown of their most recent race.
The integration also allows users to compare their fastest 10K run of the current year with their all-time personal best. Gemini can identify the longest running streak recorded on Strava and assess whether weather conditions may have influenced performance. These features are designed to help athletes understand patterns in their training data and gain a clearer picture of their progress without manually reviewing individual activities.
Strava said connecting an account to Gemini is entirely optional and operates on a read-only basis. Users must choose to authorise the connection and can disconnect their accounts at any time. The integration is available to Strava subscribers across all Google Gemini plans. However, access is currently limited to users in the United States. To connect the services, users need to open Google Gemini and navigate to Personal Intelligence.
They can then select Strava from the connected apps section, sign in using their Strava account and authorise Gemini to access their activity data. After completing the process, subscribers can ask Gemini questions about their Strava activities and receive insights based on their recorded workouts. The integration adds another artificial intelligence-powered option for analysing fitness data, as technology companies increasingly introduce tools that turn personal activity records into more accessible training insights.
