Wagon fans, take one out for another Porsche wagon.
On Thursday, the 2027 Porsche Taycan was revealed with a fake gear shift from a fake transmission along with other changes. Noticeably absent and neglected? The Taycan wagon, Sport Turismo and Cross Turismo are both gone. dead. Porsche spokesperson confirmed this drive It’s not our imagination and the wagons are really gone.
Please keep a moment of silence. Besides, we can only blame the public, not Porsche. If more people had bought them, it is clear that they would still exist today. This is not the first time we have seen this happening. The Panamera Sport Turismo died in 2023 because people didn’t buy it either. Ironically, both the BMW M5 Wagon and the Audi RS6 Avant have exceeded their respective automaker’s sales expectations in the US market. What is happening here?
drive Reached out to Porsche and asked why the wagon models in particular, which are the best models of the Taycan, are being phased out. We will update this story when we get a reply.
The Taycan Cross Turismo was confirmed for 2021. At the time, Porsche noted that it had a Gravel Roads driving mode. Last year, executive editor Andrew Collins reviewed the Cross Turismo and said it might be the best all-around EV. That man is rarely wrong. However, his dog Bramble did not like Porsche’s electric wagon. Apparently Bramble has bad taste.
Editor-in-Chief Kyle Cheromcha, who is certainly almost never wrong, reviewed the Taycan GTS Sport Turismo when it launches in 2022 and called it the best electric Porsche at the time. Cheromcha said, “Haters who dislike EVs with no soul need to get behind the wheel of the Taycan GTS.” Clearly, the haters didn’t actually get behind the wheel of the Taycan GTS wagon.
