We’ve all struggled with FOMO or the fear of missing out. Whether it’s a missed concert, a missed vacation, or a missed opportunity to accomplish something, everyone has that moment that directly leads to something they wish they could have done.
Personally, I’m still struggling with FOMO from the Husqvarna Vitpilen 701 Dealer Special that was priced at $4,000 under MSRP. That motorcycle was the closest a road bike came to the feeling of flying through canyons like a bird, and I curse that I couldn’t do that at the time. Maybe one day…
It’s hard to live those moments, even though that particular motorcycle is still within my reach. But for those who are living with their own FOMO as special editions slip through their fingers, that’s too bad, because you’re stuck hoping that one day, someone will decide they’ve had enough of what the motorcycle is and will eventually sell it.
Well, today is the day for Aprilia fans with FOMO, as a brand new, still-in-the-crate 2021 Tuono X is up for auction. Now’s your chance to scratch that itch.

The motorcycle in question is the 2021 Aprilia Tuono This RSV4 sold out in minutes, which is why a year later, Aprilia did the trick again, limiting the Tuono X to just 30. They also sold out within minutes, which is where everyone’s FOMO started.
This particular Aprilia Tuono However, how they got the allotment is not listed, but they are lucky. However, the motorcycle originally went into storage straight from the factory, as the Tuono X is still in its original shipping crate and comes without fuel, coolant or oil. If you want to turn it on, you’re probably looking at replacing most, if not all, of the rubber hoses, as sitting without those fluids breaks down the plastic.
However, it is a wonderful piece of art. Not exactly my personal jam, but to each their own, ride their own motorcycle!
according to Prestigious motorbike auction“The sale includes the factory display carpet, rear stand and matching helmet. Also includes a bike cover, Aprilia USB drive and an exhaust baffle,” and “Currently located in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada, this Aprilia is offered on a Certificate of Origin.”
Currently, the price is $45,475, which is the same MSRP as when it was new. You’d think it would be high given its crated condition and zero miles, but the world of collector motorcycles can be strange sometimes. But if you missed that original batch, now’s your chance to cure your FOMO once and for all.
