Mercedes-Benz Australia is recalling certain Mercedes-Benz S-Class and Mercedes-Maybach S-Class sedans due to a braking fault.

“Due to a manufacturing defect, the front axle brake hoses may become damaged over time,” the company says in its recall notice.

“If this occurs it could lead to a brake fluid leak resulting in reduced braking performance.

“A reduction in braking performance could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.”
