Sometimes, you think you know what you’re doing. Or at least, that you have a pretty good idea. And so, you prepare yourself, grab any necessary items, wear the right clothes for whatever task you’re trying to do, and off you go.
And then, sometimes, it turns out to be a little more than you expected. That’s what happened to me last month, when I had the chance to ride a group of Sea-Doo PWCs for the first time. As I recount in that long-form piece, one main idea was firmly planted in my mind as my sandals quietly pattered against my feet as I walked toward the dock that morning: sea scooters.
Since words can only convey so much when it comes to this kind of experience, we have a full video to show you a little more of what it was like. Now, if you’re an experienced PWC enthusiast, you probably don’t need me to tell you all this stuff you already know.
But if you’re like me, and you’ve never ridden a PWC before, I’m here to tell you that as long as you wear the right gear, and take plenty of water and sunscreen and snacks, you’ll probably have an amazing time.
It’s also arguably better in a group (at least, your first time), so you can all check in with each other and cheer each other on while you learn. Once you get really good at it, you might want to go solo and do your own thing. It’s like motorcycles in that way; Emirates? Anyway, I digress!
Watch the video, and maybe check out a PWC rental the next time you’re planning a vacation! BRP ExperienceWhich I also wrote about recently, there are a few tour providers everywhere that offer the current Sea-Doo lineup if you’re interested.
