bond weapon America’s 250th birthday is being celebrated with a limited-edition release of their Hand Cannon Derringer, and unlike most commemorative firearms that are simply a standard production gun with minimal changes, this one has real craftsmanship behind the engraving work and comes in two different configurations that justify the different price points.

hand cannon The frame is Bond Arms’ full-size offering, here chambered for .45 Colt and .410 bore with a 4.25-inch flat-sided barrel. The frame is stainless steel, the action is single-action, and the safety is a cross-bolt design. B6 resin extended grips handle ergonomics. The custom commemorative anniversary engraving runs on both sides of the barrel on both versions.

The Rough Series is a more accessible option at $499. This carries over to the clean, durable standard finish of the Bond Arms with the anniversary engraving as the primary distinguishing feature. The combination of the .45 Colt and .410 on the Bond Arms frame is a proven defensive and field pairing. The .410 with buckshot or slug loads is a legitimate short-range option, and the .45 Colt gives you a hard-hitting revolver cartridge in the same package. For a limited-edition commemorative piece, it also serves as a genuinely capable instrument rather than a safe queen.
