Backstage Notes: Details on CM Punk's 'issues' with WWE

More details have emerged on CM Punk’s alleged issues with WWE amid rumors of a return to WWE Raw Next week.

CM Punk’s last WWE appearance was on the April 20 episode of Monday night RawOne night after losing the World Heavyweight Championship to Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 42.

During Punk’s absence, there have been rumors of him having problems with WWE behind the scenes. This is notable because Punk left the company on bad terms in 2014.

In the latest version of Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t sscoops), Dave Meltzer reported that Punk actually has some “minor issues” with WWE. Meltzer stated that these problems stemmed from losing his World Title match with Reigns at WrestleMania.

Earlier this week, WrestleVotes on Fightful Select (h/t 411mania) reported that CM Punk is expected to return Raw Next week. The show takes place in Rosemont, Illinois, just outside punk’s hometown of Chicago.
