Sometimes, when my wits have deserted me, I like to imagine how Erling Holland chooses his outfits. The boy has good taste, we know this. Perhaps it starts with the base: a team tracksuit. Classic, expected, comfortable for flying. So let’s add some kicks – the Fragment Design x Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low would be perfect. A little Man City blue. Oh, and as for the accessories? How about some sunnies, a Dolce & Gabbana tote, and let’s see… Yes! My taxidermied raccoon, drinking from a whiskey bottle.

Haaland arrived back in Oslo this morning after Norway’s defeat to England, and he had it all. Now, people want to spend all broadcast time talking about his raccoon. I get it: she’s a star! Specifically, he is the “Whiskey Raccoon” from a Texas store, Wild Bills, who Haaland presumably hit while he was in town scoring a sundown in the 86th minute against Ivory Coast.
