Will the deep discount tempt you to buy the Polestar 4?

  • Polestar is offering up to $25,000 off the new Polestar 4 model.
  • 0% APR financing available for up to 60 months.
  • Lease for $399 per month with $1,000 down payment.

The Polestar brand has been retired in the United States. More precisely, the Swedish electric vehicle maker can no longer sell cars in the country starting with the 2027 model year due to the US Commerce Department’s new connected vehicle rule.

This means Polestar will need to clear out its existing inventory, and if you’re willing to buy from a defunct brand, you can get a steep discount.

How big a discount? pop on pollstar website, And you’ll see the “$25,000 Polestar Clean Vehicle Incentive,” which can be applied toward cash purchases. This deal is valid from July 1 to July 31, 2026.

As the website indicates, the $25,000 rebate is only eligible if you pay cash for the Polestar 4, which isn’t something many buyers can or want to do, even if a company isn’t banned from selling the car in the US.

If you’re short on cash in your bank account, a new 2026 Polestar 4 currently starts at $57,800 for a rear-end motor car. A $25,000 discount brings it down to just $32,800, around the same price as a Toyota Camry.

Assuming you wanted a dual-motor car, this model was priced at $64,300 more. However, with the huge discount, this model is also now quite affordable at just $39,300. The rear motor car will go up to 310 miles on a single charge, while the dual motor car will go up to 280 miles. In turn, the dual motor car is faster: 544 horsepower versus 272 hp in the RWD car.

Even if you can’t pay cash for the car, Polestar still has some great offers until July 31 to clear its remaining inventory.

  • $19,000 cash applied for a lease
  • $18,000 cash with 0% APR for 60 months
  • $1,000 loyalty bonus upon purchase or lease

Leasing a Polestar can be a great option, since you won’t be at risk for a long time with a car that’s no longer a popular brand in the US. You can get the Polestar 4 Long Range Single Motor at $399 per month for 39 months with just a $1,000 discount thanks to the $19,000 Clean Vehicles Incentive. The lease only includes 7,500 miles per year, but you can potentially buy more.

Motor1’s Opinion: Buying a vampire car from a defunct brand can be difficult in terms of servicing, but chances are that Volvo dealers can service these vehicles. motor1 Have contacted Volvo to inquire about the future of Polestar maintenance in the US. We will update the story as we get more information.
