You may have heard of ZF as they produce some of the most coveted automatic transmissions for pickup trucks and SUVs. They design and build much more than that. We filmed this video at the ZF test facility in Jeversen, Germany.
The city bus you see here is equipped with ZF’s new “Skyhook suspension system.” These are their next generation adaptive dampers that can adjust in real time. Although such a bus should never go off-road, it must still be comfortable for all passengers on rough paved roads in a variety of conditions. This adjustable suspension can do just that.
