How do you prove that you are the fastest skier on the mountain? Bomb down 2,000 feet of steep, technical terrain and do it faster than anyone else. That’s exactly what top skiers do in Episode 4 of Ultimate Mountain Athlete, the groundbreaking competition created in collaboration with Outside toyota truck.
The episode begins with a race for speed, style and courage, as athletes vie for points along the way to see who is the best at rock climbing, skiing and mountain biking – with $40,000 in prize money on the line.
After risking everything on the slopes, the athletes – four men and four women – return to the Red Mountain Alpine Lodge for a well-earned rest day. But no one. If you want to be the best mountain athlete you can be, you better be prepared for anything. And that means joining a fun “Day Off” competition in avalanche rescue training on the AV Beacon Hunt. And to spice things up, there’s great cash to win.
