Timex’s new Deepwater Meridian 300 Titanium HEV builds on that formula with a lightweight Grade 5 titanium case, 300 meters of water resistance, an automatic movement, and the kind of understated design that makes it an ideal everyday companion – whether you’re diving into wrecks or just whipping up dinner on the grill.

Large and in-charge, the 44mm case is crafted in Grade 5 titanium. Therefore, its shape has been made more wearable due to the reduction in weight. Also the advanced alloy is strong and provides plenty of surface hardness to prevent scratches. To prevent damage to the crystal during decompression, the Deepwater is equipped with an automatic helium escape valve, located at 10 o’clock on the exterior of the case. That valve, screw-down crown, screw-on case back and anti-reflective coated sapphire glass help the watch achieve 300 meters of water resistance. True to its purpose, the Deepwater features a uni-directional ratcheting bezel with a dive scale for tracking time underwater.
The Deepwater comes in two dial variants, either vibrant green or classic black. Both versions deploy applied indexes and oversized hands to easily tell the time. To aid legibility in low light, the hands and markers are all filled with Nemoto Luminova SG2200 lume. Moving those hands around is a Miyota 8215 automatic movement. The 21-jewel caliber features uni-directional winding, offers a 42-hour power reserve and is protected from impacts by the Parashock system.

The DeepWater comes on a black, UV-resistant HNBR (hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber) synthetic rubber strap. The band’s perforations allow water to pass through when submerged and provide breathability during land-based activities. Cut to 20mm lugs, the strap is equipped with a quick-release spring bar. So it is easy to replace and does not require tools.
