Special operations forces (SpecOps) have long used motorcycles to get in, out and out before anyone knew they were there, because the bikes are fast, agile and can go places other vehicles cannot. hey, you can do it too Fasten them to your chest and release the air in one placeWhich makes insertion easier for command structures.
But there is a problem with old motorcycles; They are fast, and produce heat due to the gas-powered engine. Both of these can be detected by thermal imaging solutions as well as acoustic microphones. And while many SpecOps teams have adopted more silent EV motorcycles, like Zero’s FX and Sur-Rons, they also suffer from those detection tools, though to a lesser extent.
However, the Ukrainian Army may have solved this with the Wolfstorm, a thermal-imaging-proof, as well as acoustic-detection-proof, all-electric dirt bike intended to actually give SpecOps troops the whole element of surprise and stealth.
Don’t look now, but there are some military guys on dirt bikes Correct behind you…

According to the press release issued by Ministry of Defense of Ukraine“Silence, lack of thermal footprint and the ability to carry two soldiers in full equipment – the Ministry of Defense has codified and permitted the domestic electric motorcycle WOLFSTORM – “Assault Wolf’ for use in the armed forces. It combines the advantages of a classic motorcycle with an internal combustion engine and electrical engineering.”
That only tells half the story, because the real part that will probably have SpecOps soldiers around the world drooling is what Wolfstorm does. Or rather it isn’t, in that the Ukrainian military says it can destroy acoustic and thermal detection, meaning these motorcycles not only run with John Cena on them, but they can’t even hear them. And it will go a long way in ensuring the success of missions that require true secrecy.
Additionally, Wolfstorm has features to support the SpecOps nature for which it was designed. Weighing only 230 pounds, it has an 8kW battery capable of driving it up to 60 miles on a single charge. However, where it differs from other EV dirt bikes that are becoming more common is that the Wolfstorm has swappable batteries. So even though it only takes 4 hours for a full charge, according to the company, it only takes a few minutes to transform from a dead battery to a fully charged and ready-to-use battery.
It’s interesting that the Wolfstorm went with a chain-driven drivetrain, as chains are much faster than their belt-driven counterparts. However, this may have more to do with durability than anything else.
The Wolfstorm can also carry two soldiers in full combat gear, meaning it’s not just a stealth option, it’s also a workhorse. and according to Euromaiden PressThe Ukrainian Army has already contracted the domestic company behind Wolfstorm for 1,500 EV dirt bikes this year.
So these bikes will definitely see frontline action in the near future.
