We may be out of video games here at Jalopnik, but that doesn’t mean we don’t still love car videos. After all, they’re the next closest thing to experiencing a car in real life. These days, you don’t need to scour the TV guide to know it could be a show or movie about cars. YouTube has everything you want, no matter what car you like, what style you like, or how long your attention span is.
That’s why, last week, we asked you to name your favorite car reviewers on YouTube, and we got a lot of responses. In true Jalopnik fashion, the top answer was John Davis of Motorweek fame. Although I told you clearly that John Davis was my choice, and you couldn’t get him. I would say I’m disappointed, but really I’m not disappointed. In fact, I’m actually a little proud. But still, let’s take a look at some of the most popular non-John-Davis responses.
Sara -N- Tuned

Sarah-N-Tuned. She does a great technical review, and would rather review less exclusive cars rather than a constant stream of top trim models. I also like the throttle house.
Suggester: Jim Smith (Grateful Father)
throttle house
Throttle House for the win. I can’t wait to see how they handle the Grand Tour. They are very entertaining and know their cars. Plus, they are absolutely entertaining and I’m glad they got that job.
A very close second is the Everyday Driver. They win scenery awards with their reviews! Plus his podcast is both entertaining and informative.
There are some that I wish I’d looked at in quality a bit as they started off very strong but in the quest for more content and clicks, I think they’ve tailed off badly. Raiti is one, Redline Reviews is another. And I wish Demuro would return to his roots but that ship departed a long time ago.

regular car reviews
Mr. Regular and Roman in RCR. A mix of literary theory, dirty humor, parody advertising, and in-depth reviews of regular and sometimes not so regular cars.

Tom Volk
Tom Volk does good work. Many of his videos documenting his CPO Taycan experience are good.

car care nut
I really like Car Care Nut. He really dives into the mechanics of the car and what problems he can foresee, how it’s put together and what kind of engineering goes into it.

henry catchpole
Henry Catchpole on Hagerty or Chris Harris on his own channel. Henry’s films have amazing production values and Chris really is Chris. Honorable mention to Camissa (he doesn’t review that many new cars these days but when he does his movies are fantastic) and Throttle House.

rich reconstruction
I have to say Rich Rebuilds. Mr. Benoit started with only electric cars but he gradually included ICE vehicles. I don’t know what happened but I remember his buddy Steven being on his show. The boy is just plain talented.

number 27
I like channel number 27.
He reviews mostly UK used cars. Being here in America, it’s interesting to see all these cars I’m not familiar with.

EverydayDriver
The everyday driver really fascinates me in the sense that they care about the experience. They make their videos great to look at, and ambitious like “Hey, don’t you want to take your car down a beautiful road in Utah in the fall”. I also like that they don’t always agree but they respect each other’s opinions.
