There are lots of reasons to buy a suit: weddings, dinners, love of sports, but chief among them is buying a suit on sale. It just so happens that there are only a few times a year when a window opens and you can reasonably expect to find a (good) suit on sale. However, we’re in one of those windows now, making it the perfect time to round up some of our favorite suits that are currently on sale.
We’re not even talking about the odd seasonal fare. These are classics, all made for the warmer months (though some are ready to take a little chill in the air) and all totally on sale. Pinstripes, herringbones, classic navy, and even a tux can be had at a fraction of the original price. And when there’s so much meat left in wedding season, there’s no excuse needed for a new suit. But while all of these are built to last and styled to last, these definitely aren’t bargains. We would recommend making a change early to avoid any sales regrets.

Priced at under $500, this featherweight cotton suit was a great deal the day it dropped, but now that J.Crew has slashed the price by another 30%, it’s on a whole other level. Washed for a softer, more casual feel, the two-button jacket has some healthy lapels and a double-vented back, while the casual trousers have a single-pleat, a cute little coin pocket and a relaxed fit through the legs.
