The 2027 Ram TRX is back, and it will cost you $102,790

That noise you just heard was your financial planner considering whether to buy the revived Ram TRX.

On Monday, 2027 Ram 1500 TRX order books opened and the Hellcat-powered truck is going to cost a lot. To be exact, it will be $102,790 including the ridiculous $2,795 destination charge.

That’s for standard trucks. As for the limited run, which we’re not really sure how limited it is, you’ll have to add an additional $9,995 for the Bloodshot Night Edition package (pictured above). That money buys a hand-painted blacktop with a flame red hood stripe, splash graphics on the exterior (it’s like the ’90s again!), red interior accents, and beadlock-capable wheels.

Ram is quick to note that the TRX (and its later turbocharged inline-six-powered RHO sibling) are the only high-performance off-road trucks to offer a Level 2 Plus hands-free driver-assist system, which Stellantis calls Hands-Free Active Drive Assist. It’s a jab at the Ford Raptor.

The revived TRX comes with the Hellcats’ iconic supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine, now rated at 777 horsepower and 680 lb-ft of torque. It is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Ram said that with full-time four-wheel drive (which is standard) and launch control, the truck will go from 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds and on to a top speed of 118 mph.

How long the reborn Hellcat-powered TRX will stay on the market is anyone’s guess. Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis told drive“Call Washington” when asked.
