Take on the Blue Moon Spicy Orange Challenge: Can you handle the heat?

It’s the companionship you didn’t know you needed, but definitely want to savor and savor every drop of. That’s assuming you can handle the heat.

Blue Moon launches a limited edition Blue Moon Spicy Orange Challenge. This is a great kit with two limited drops, the second of which will arrive on July 27th at 12pm ET, exclusively Spicy Orange Challenge – Blue Moon Shop.

Blue Moon is daring beer lovers and spicy food connoisseurs to put aside the beer’s iconic orange slices and opt for a dried Valencia orange garnish coated with Frank’s RedHot Original hot sauce and ghost peppers. Spiced Orange offers a tangy combination of citrus, heat and flavor that is designed to test even seasoned spice lovers.

So, what exactly is the challenge? Take a slice of spicy orange, then see how little Blue Moon you need to drink until the spice remains. Ready for the challenge?

The seasoning kit costs about $19.95 (plus shipping and handling). This price indicates the founding year of the Blue Moon.

Inside the kit, you’ll find a spicy orange slide, a custom challenge glass with measuring markers that will track how much Blue Moon you drink to beat the heat, and a gift card that can be redeemed for a 6-pack of Blue Moon and a bottle of Frank.

It’s no surprise that Blue Moon leads the spicy category. The brand is answering the call with 90 percent of Blue Moon drinkers saying they like or dislike spicy food.

“Most people know how well Blue Moon pairs with oranges, but not everyone knows how well Blue Moon pairs with spicy foods,” said Elizabeth Hitch, vice president of marketing for Above Premium Beer at Molson Coors Beverage Company. “With this spicy orange garnish, we’re bringing the heat straight to our fans so they can try this exclusive pairing for themselves.”
