Stark Future introduces ‘Traction Control’ for VARG Alpha riders via OTA update – thepack.news

Stark Future has introduced a free over-the-air software update to all VARG Alpha riders, adding ‘Traction Control’ to MX, EX and SM Alpha models. The update went live on June 21, 2026.

The system continuously monitors wheelspin on all surfaces – from smooth tarmac and painted road markings to gravel, wet roots and mud – and adjusts power delivery so the rider has usable grip rather than fighting for it.

“Traction control is one of the most requested features by VARG riders worldwide.”

Traction Control is integrated directly into the VARG’s existing power modes and can be adjusted independently within each. Riders can dial in high interference for maximum stability on technical terrain, or turn it back down for more rear-wheel movement when conditions and riding style allow. It works with existing power delivery and regenerative braking settings.

This update is only for the Alpha model and does not require a visit to a dealer or any hardware changes. Riders connect the bike, run the update and the feature goes live.

This rollout is in line with how Stark has set up the VARG platform from the beginning: meaningful improvements delivered straight from Barcelona via software, without the need for a new model year or a trip to the workshop.

  • Available exclusively for Stark Class Alpha models
  • Delivered via over-the-air updates
  • adjustable interference level
  • Fully integrated into existing ride mode
  • Better traction in low grip conditions
  • Better control over technical terrain
