Ministry of Sound is looking for the UK’s next DJ with new Twitch contest
Ministry of Sound is launching BoxA new live stream DJ competition is set to begin on September 13.
Broadcast live on Twitch from the club’s newly renovated main room, The Box, the concept will see six up-and-coming DJs compete in a 12-hour stream. Along with their technical ability behind the decks, contestants will be judged on stamina, crowd control and their presence in the booth.
Adding to the pressure, viewers will influence the competition through live voting and real-time challenges, creating an experience that mirrors the unpredictability of a packed dancefloor.
Mentors including Girls Don’t Sync’s Sam Devine, Mack10 and G33 will guide contestants throughout the competition. The winner will receive a Ministry of Sound residency, international exposure opportunities and a £25,000 support package designed to help launch their career.
As opportunities for successful artists become increasingly competitive, Boxed In aims to give the next generation of DJs a real platform to showcase their talents.
