Sherco Sahara 450 unveiled at this year’s EICMA
Sherco surprised fans with its EICMA 2026 appearance as the French motorcycle manufacturer, traditionally known for its enduro and trial machines, unveiled an all-new adventure bike called the Sahara 450. And unlike what many might expect from the brand, this one gets a parallel-twin engine.
But there’s another interesting detail about this new motorcycle. The Sahara 450 is powered by a 449.5cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that produces a claimed 47.5 hp and 41 Nm of torque. Those figures are remarkably close to the QJMotor SRT 450 RX, and people at EICMA reportedly said the engine came from QJMotor.
This gives the Sahara 450 a distinctly different development story from the competition-focused machines the French company is known for.

The new model also marks Sherco’s entry into
The new model also marks Sherco’s entry into the increasingly competitive middleweight adventure segment. It combines a rally-inspired design with proper off-road hardware, including 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoked wheels, long-travel suspension, and a relatively compact powerplant.
Looking at its chassis, Sherco appears to have taken its off-road experience seriously. The Sahara 450 uses a chrome-molybdenum steel frame paired with suspension offering 240mm of travel at both ends. Braking duties are handled by Brembo components, with twin discs up front and a disc at the rear, both with ABS.
The Sahara 450 also gets a 19-liter fuel tank, which should make it suitable for longer rides away from the city. Its one-piece seat sits 875mm off the ground, which could be a little challenging for Pinoys with short inseams.

Up front, the motorcycle gets a rally-style cockpit
Up front, the motorcycle gets a rally-style cockpit with a full-LED headlight assembly featuring a distinctive Y-shaped lighting element. There’s also a tinted windscreen and a 5-inch TFT instrument panel with Bluetooth connectivity.
Other equipment includes handguards, engine protection, and heated grips and seat. The example displayed at EICMA also wore a titanium Akrapovic exhaust, although Sherco has yet to confirm if this will be standard equipment or an optional accessory.
Also, Sherco has yet to release its complete technical specifications, with its weight among the important details still missing. Official pricing and market availability have also yet to be announced.
