Welcome to today’s Photo of the Day! Here we have a SpokenGuns custom-modified Smith & Wesson Model 520 .44 Magnum revolver with upgraded barrel and cylinder work.
The Model 520 was run by S&W on the medium-framed .44 Magnum, N-frame construction with a 3.25-inch barrel. Spokehandguns was a custom shop that specialized in S&W revolver work, barrel replacement, cylinder fitting, action tuning, that kind of thing. It passed through their hands for improved barrel and cylinder components.
To be honest, I don’t know a ton about spokehandguns specifically and that’s what I’d like to say rather than fill the space with guesswork. What you see here is a functional gun, black finish, rubber grips, almost complete finish retention suggesting it didn’t see much use after the custom work was completed. The box doesn’t match, which makes sense since guns that go through a custom shop often come back without their original packaging.
