Consider yourself fairly warned, because if you’ve been paying attention to the off-road racing series where UTVs regularly compete, you already know that the Polaris RZR factory team has been in a bit of a rough spot lately.

Both the factory RZR machines and its drivers: Brock Hager, Kayden McCachran, Ethan Groom, Joe Terrana and Rodrigo Ampudia have been tough competitors to beat. However, they are not completely untouchable; And that’s why Polaris’ new SCORE Challenge is interesting.

note that No particular brand of UTV wins is specified. so it really could be Any A UTV that gets the job done, no matter the manufacturer. Of course, it could be another Polaris RZR; But it could just as easily be a Kawasaki, Honda, Can-Am, or something else.

Polaris says the main point is to offer incentives to increase competition in general; Of course, both for the RZR Factory Racing Team, but also for the Baja 400 event. Motorsports are generally more fun when there is actual racing involved, and when it is not just one competitor or team constantly winning championships. This is as true in off-road racing as it is in circuit racing; The fans, they scream for it real competition!

Either way, it will be interesting to see what this method of pot-sweetening brings to the table in terms of competition! Presumably no blue turtle shells, as I frankly think they would be against the rules.
