What is your favorite summer vacation spot?
I love going to the Bahamas. The place we go is great for kids.. I’m fond of the beach, but my wife doesn’t like it, so there are nice pools. You get a mix of all of these, but water is always best.

Is it real?
Yes. I feel like once you get to the playoffs, everyone feels like they have a chance. But once you’re out, you can definitely see that some people are planning their trips for the offseason. But since I’m in the NFL, I always tell my wife, “I’m not planning anything until after February.” I also tell my marketing team, “Don’t run any ads before the end of February (after the Super Bowl).” This is my mentality.
But do people actually go to Cancun or is it just a meme?
People definitely go to Cancún, Cabo—they’re going to a lot of places in Mexico. Some of those trips are planned by some people before the season ends.
What is your favorite way to relax during the summer?
This is still new. I love going to my children’s sporting events. It’s all gotten out of hand. I just let them do it. We’ve got T-ball and soccer, and I’m the dad who’s in the outfield, wearing sunglasses, just living it up. But it’s nice to see them exploring and figuring out what they like and what they do.
What kind of father are you when you play with them? Do you let your kids win?
No, I mean, there are certain times when you can let them win certain things, but I want them to be competitive. And I’m competitive and his mom is competitive.
What specific time? Like if you were playing Chutes and Ladders?
Yes, 100%. I don’t let them win all the time. Sometimes when we play board games etc. Or when I’m playing one-on-one with my daughter in soccer, I’ll score some goals, but I’ll also let her score some goals.
Do you have any fond memories of a summer camp you went to? Were you always at baseball or soccer camps?
I was always in sports camps. This basketball camp in my high school was my favorite. My mom put me with kids my age and then kids older than me, so I was there all day while she worked. There was one game, I had a full-court shot at the end of a tie game – and that’s my best memory of hitting a big shot, even though it was just a camp.
What position did you play in basketball?
I was a point guard. In high school, I was taller than most guys, but I still played point guard because you have to pass the ball, you can score, you do all that kind of stuff. I was tall in eighth grade, so I originally thought I would be a basketball player, but it didn’t work out for me. My brother got his full height.
