Norton has taken the wraps off the 450 Urban, its first single-cylinder motorcycle since its resurgence, at EICMA 2026. The model will be available in two variants – a standard road-focused model and a more scrambler-styled option – and will serve as the entry point into Norton’s line-up.

Norton 450 Urban details
The Norton 450 Urban will be the brand’s first single-cylinder model since its resurgence.
The Norton 450 Urban is powered by a 454cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 47hp at 8,000rpm and 45Nm at 6,000rpm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox and a quickshifter. Norton says the engine has been tuned for linear acceleration and in-gear response, with torque available low down in the rev range.
Both variants share an aluminium frame, a fully adjustable 43mm KYB USD fork at the front and a KYB monoshock with rebound and preload adjustment at the rear. Braking hardware comprises a ByBre 320mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc, with cornering ABS. Both variants ride on 17-inch cast wheels with road-focused tyres.
The differences between the two variants appear to be purely cosmetic, at least for now. The standard 450 Urban gets silver cast wheels, a silver frame and road tyres. The more scrambler-styled variant has the same core package but adds black cast wheels, a grey frame and swingarm, extended mudguards, knuckle guards, fork protectors, a flyscreen and unique seat trim.
The 450 Urban gets dynamic LED headlights, cornering ABS, traction control, cruise control and three rider modes. It also features keyless ignition, smartphone connectivity, heated grips, an 8-inch TFT touchscreen, a USB-C charger, TPMS and a quickshifter.
Norton hasn’t announced the price or launch timing of the 450 Urban. However, as we reported earlier, we expect the bike to launch in India and overseas at the same time, in the second half of 2027.
