Despite never playing in the NFL, Raheem Morris has built an impressive coaching resume throughout his career. He began his NFL coaching career in 2002 as the defensive quality control coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers until he took over the head coaching position for three seasons from 2009–11. Morris then worked as part of coaching staffs at different teams in the league and became the head coach of the Atlanta Falcons in 2024, before getting another chance to lead a team.
But after consecutive 8–9 seasons and missing the playoffs both years, Morris’ two-year tenure as Falcons head coach ended on January 4, 2026. The 49-year-old didn’t remain unemployed for long, however, joining Kyle Shanahan’s coaching staff with the San Francisco 49ers as the team’s defensive coordinator less than a month later.

Shortly after becoming head coach of the Falcons in 2024, Morris purchased a home in Sandy Springs, Georgia, just north of downtown Atlanta, for $7.145 million. After owning the property for two years, they decided to sell it after moving to San Francisco, fetching $9.75 million, the highest residential sale ever made in Sandy Springs.
The mansion is spread out 14,779 square feet It sits on 2.3 acres of land and has six bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, including seven full and three half baths. Morris’ former home also includes a pool and spa, a pickleball court, an indoor gymnasium, a fitness studio, an enclosed sports field and a four-car garage.
Despite the record-breaking sales, the price may not be a surprise to many Atlanta locals, as Sandy Springs has long been home to many celebrities. Notable residents include rapper Cardi B, TV host Steve Harvey, actor Josh Brolin, and musician Akon.
