A disorganized garage can slow down every project. When screwdrivers, pliers, drills and other tools disappear into drawers or bins, even simple tasks take longer than expected.
Flex’s Track-Lock storage system is designed to solve exactly this problem. The modular wall-mounted organization system combines with the company’s Stack Pack tool storage to keep your most-used tools visible, organized, and always within reach. After installing several Track-Lock accessories in my garage – and in the Flex Stack Pack Tool Chest, which won our Best Stackable Tool Storage Product of the Year in 2025 – I found that it made everyday DIY projects significantly easier.
Flex Track-Lock Storage System Review

I decided to test out several accessories, starting with brackets that work with Stack Packs. Keeping my screwdrivers and pliers in a drawer helps me stay organized, but the track-lock system makes them even easier to find and use. I attached Track-Lock Stack Pack Rail (which costs $36) onto the side of the tool chest using the included screws. Then, I attached a Track-Lock Pliers and Snip Rack on one side of the chest and Track-Lock Screwdriver Rack On the other end. Each rack is reasonably priced at $10.
Right away, I noticed that the entire track-lock system is well designed and easy to use. You press two buttons to snap one of the accessories onto the main rail. You can mix and match accessories depending on your current project. For example, I’ve added all of my pliers and screwdrivers to the rail system as I work on assembling the grill.
Next, I put the main track-lock rail (which cost $70) on top of a built-in cabinet on the back wall of my garage. I had to use a stud finder to make sure I was mounting this rail in a spot that would remain stable, especially since I planned to use the track-lock accessories to hold the drill and other heavy tools. The Flex included two 32-inch rails, so I installed the second one closer to the front of my garage, thinking it was a good place for a small shelf. The rail kit also includes various hooks to hold your tools, and you can mix and match all Track-Lock products.

I found that I could attach some hooks to a rail mounted on my garage wall, then move it to the rails I attached to the Stack Pack storage box. I like that the hooks included with the main 32-inch rail system have rubber grips to keep my tools from sliding around.
The entire system made it easier to do my projects. When I was assembling the grill, I could get to the right screwdriver or pliers without having to rummage around in the drawer. Later, when I needed my drill with the Phillips bit to complete the job, it was right there on a rack.
Is the Flex Track-Lock System Worth It?
Normally, I might add a caveat at this point that storage systems and accessories are priced more as a luxury, but that is not the case with Flex products. I find the storage chests to be cheaper than chests I’ve used in the past from companies like Makita. The price of the mount, rack, and clips isn’t going to impress anyone once you decide to use the system. This is a smart way of working.
