Why do we like this deal?
Now is a great time to score a deal at Huckberry. Why? The retailer recently launched its annual summer sale, giving its staunchest customers up to 35% off everything from adventure shorts to western shirts and even some gear from Barbour. Surprisingly, some of the Fall 2025 pieces are still on the site, and those items are up to 50% off. One of them, a rugged shirt jacket, has been restocked, and would make a great pickup ahead of next season.
The Flint & Tinder Italian Moleskin Shirt Jacket is now on sale for $149, which is a whopping 50% off its usual price of $298. It packs lightweight PrimaLoft insulation into a well-distributed quilted pattern that will layer well over a wool hoodie or work well as a standalone jacket that you’ll be able to wear into autumn, although it might be hard to imagine it at the moment.

What shoppers need to know
- Style: shirt jacket
- size: XS to 2XL
- Material: 98% cotton, 2% elastane
- weight: 255 grams
- insulation: PrimaLoft
Although this coat is still relatively light in weight, it is tough enough for work. This is partly due to its premium Italian stretch moleskin, which is a dense, brushed cotton. It combines traditional British quilting with lightweight PrimaLoft insulation to provide warmth despite the bulk. It features two snap-flap chest pockets, snap cuffs, a curved hem, and brushed-cotton pockets that double as handwarmers.
It’s perfect for daily commutes, errands, travel days and casual dinners, and it’s tough enough for manual work around the house on the weekend (without overheating you). It shines on its own in the 40s to 50s and can be easily brightened in cooler weather. You can even wear it indoors without feeling bundled up.
Originally, we thought of this jacket as the Flint and Tinder Quilted Waxed Shirt Jacket, which is long overdue for an update. That is not the case here. That jacket is waxed and packed with tons of insulation for those brutal days outside. This jacket, despite being quilted, is not waxed. Instead, we’d consider it a better choice for colder days when you want something sturdy without worrying about rubbing or scratching, which would only make it look cold.

what shoppers are saying
Moleskin is a soft cotton fabric that is known to be stiff and soft to the touch. But what’s it like to wear it? Well, one shopper said, “The Moleskin material feels luscious but is a little stiff at first. I hope it wears out well.” However, if you’re faced with a city commute or yard work, this may not be a bad thing.
When flint and tinder pieces are hit at half off, they sell lightning fast, and this moleskin shaquette is probably headed for the same fate. Whatever color you choose, you can’t go wrong—just make sure you pick one before it’s too late.
