‘House of the Dragon’: 5 Predictions for Season 3, Episode 5

'House of the Dragon': 5 Predictions for Season 3, Episode 5

Warning: The following contains spoilers dragon house Season 3, Episode 4, and fire and blood

Ormond (james norton) The grand plan is finally in motion, as evidenced by dragon house Season 3, Episode 4. He has already failed Rhaenyra (emma d’arcy) twice, and now he is married to his ward, Daeron Targaryen (benjamin evan ainsworth), on the Iron Throne. Meanwhile, Aegon (Tom Glynn-Carney) refuses to believe that Sunfire is dead and works with the Larrys to finance his stay (Matthew Needham) at Rook’s Rest with the aim of departing for Essos in a few days.

Damon (Matt Smith) Lies to Rhaenyra to protect Rhaenys (phoebe campbell), the real rider of the Wild Sheepstealer. That definitely won’t come back to bite him in the butt. cat (Ellora Torchia) is attacked by a Hightower officer in Tumbleton, with his brother coming to his rescue. While Ormond punishes the attacker, he tells Deron to kill Cat’s brother, as it were. In short, we get a lot of setup for important narrative plot points.

With that in mind, here are five fiery predictions dragon house Season 3, Episode 5:

Rhaenyra will learn the truth about Rhaenys

Theo Whitman/HBO

Perhaps this was shortly after Daemon and Rhaenys’ encounter in the Vale, but there’s no way Rhaenyra would have bought Daemon’s lie about the Rider of the Sheepstealer in Episode 4. no way. Plus, there’s a lot of dancing left to cover, so now’s the time to sow the seeds of discord between Rhaenyra and Daemon. He has already given the story of Nettles to Rehana. I can see Rhaenyra hating Rhaenys because Daemon is trying to protect his own daughter instead of serving his queen.

Rhaenyra will find out what happened to Aegon the Younger and Viserys

This can easily be linked to the first prediction on this list. Rhaenyra may have learned that her two youngest children with Daemon never reached Pentos, and Rhaenys left them in the Vale to claim the Sheepstealer. I hope we get a flashback of him being in the gulet during the fight in Episode 1, and we’ll see his story progress (without Aegon flying back to Dragonstone on StormcloudAbsolutely).

Both of these are important for post-dance; It would be foolish to wipe them out completely and limit their absence to an inexplicable disappearance or joint abduction by the Trishasan.

Wonder! Aemond and Vhagar never left Harrenhal

Evan Mitchell as Aemond Targaryen in ‘House of the Dragon’ Season 3

Ollie Upton/HBO

Alice (Gail Rankin) claims in episode 4 that Aemond (evan mitchell) departed for King’s Landing on Vagar, but I don’t think that’s true. For starters, even with more dragons, Rhaenyra would be toast. Wagar is one Animal. A grumpy grandmother, but still, a complete unit. In fire and bloodAemond never returned after leaving King’s Landing. Now it wouldn’t make sense for this to happen in the context of their story.

My prediction? Aemond and Vhagar are still at Harrenhal. Come here with me-dragon house Leaning towards Alice being a witch. We’ve seen what she can do, and also seen the ancient magic inherent in the Riverlands. Alice is maintaining her presence in the castle while Aemond recuperates.

Ormond will try to grab Hugh for Team Deron

Hugh (Kieran Beau) asks Rhaenyra in episode 4 if he can see Tumbleton on Dragonback because Cat is there. She accepts this request, and we later see Hugh and Vermithor flying over the city. Ormond also sees them. Hugh inevitably learns of his brother-in-law’s death and Kat’s attack. He would express his grievances with Ormond, perhaps asking why the Hightower officer did not receive a harsher punishment.

While we know Ormond hates dragons, he is smart enough to understand that they are essential to his victory. Therefore, he will try to win Hugh over to Team Deron. In the book, Hugh and Ulf (Tom Bennett) change their cloaks at the first battle of Tumbleton, but this is never said Why. From this we can know our reason.

Egon will reveal his identity to Tom Tangletongue

In episode 4, We meet Tom Tangletongue (Lewis McDougall) at roux rest. Tom eventually becomes loyal to Egon, and he also helps Alfred Broome (jamie kenna) during the fall of Dragonstone at the end of the dance. In the Rook’s Rest scenes, Tom is shown to be quite affectionate towards Egon. I can imagine Egon revealing his identity to Tom and sowing the seeds for Tom’s ultimate loyalty.

dragon house New episodes air every Sunday at 9PM ET/PT on HBO and HBO Max.
