Honda brings electric motorcycles, Formula 1 heritage and new performance models to Goodwood Festival of Speed 2026

Honda will return to the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed with one of its most comprehensive showcases in recent years, bringing together electric mobility, performance engineering, motorcycles and Formula 1 heritage. The biggest highlights include the world dynamic debut of the Prelude HRC Concept, the public debut of the new Honda Super-N, the first Goodwood run for the all-electric Honda WN7 motorcycle and the return of the famous Williams Honda FW11 to celebrate 40 years of Honda’s first Formula 1 Constructors’ Championship.

The festival will run from 9 to 12 July and will once again see Honda use Goodwood’s famous hillclimb to showcase both future technologies and iconic competition machinery.

Prelude HRC Concept Makes Its Dynamic World Debut

The highlight will be the Prelude HRC concept, which will be showcased publicly for the first time.

Developed by Honda Racing Corporation in conjunction with Honda Access, the concept explores how motorsport engineering can further enhance the driving dynamics of Honda’s electrified road cars.

Jessica Hawkins, Head of the F1 Academy and Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team Driver Ambassador, will be driving the concept during the event, with Portuguese racing driver Tiago Monteiro in attendance.

Super-N and WN7 highlight Honda’s electric future

Honda will also showcase the new Super-N, a compact electric vehicle inspired by the successful Japanese N-series kei cars.

Designed for urban mobility, it combines lightweight engineering, boost mode and engaging handling to prove that electric vehicles can still deliver real driving pleasure.

On two wheels, Honda will showcase the new WN7, its first large-capacity electric motorcycle developed specifically for Europe.

Built around the “Be the Wind” concept, the WN7 combines instant electric torque, quiet operation and balanced handling while preserving Honda’s traditional riding character.

Freddy Spencer rides the new CB1000F

Motorcycle legend Freddy Spencer will take the new Honda CB1000F up the famous Goodwood hill.

The modern Roadster blends styling inspired by Honda’s classic CB family with contemporary engineering, offering a combination of everyday utility and exhilarating performance.

Spencer’s involvement further strengthens Honda’s historic relationship with top-level motorcycle racing.

Williams Honda FW11 celebrates 40 years since Honda’s first Formula 1 title

Honda’s Formula 1 heritage will also play a major role during the festival.

The Williams Honda FW11 returns to Goodwood to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Honda’s first FIA Formula 1 Constructors’ Championship, won in 1986.

The famous Grand Prix car will be driven by 1996 Formula 1 World Champion Damon Hill and former Honda factory driver Ryo Michigami, who also won Japan’s GT Championship driving a Honda NSX.

According to Hans de Jager, President of Honda Motor Europe, Goodwood is the ideal platform to showcase how Honda combines electrification, racing technology and engineering expertise to shape the future of both its cars and motorcycles.
