It’s time to stream some criminal adaptations this July! While that’s quiet compared to what it should be based on the huge wave of adaptations we’re currently riding, I still got two new series for you, an action-packed mystery film and a backlist film adapted from a Pulitzer Prize-winning novel.
Before I go on, here are a few things Crime readers may want to keep on their radar:

Enola Holmes 3 (Netflix, July 1)

Lucky (Apple TV+, July 15)

luckyReese’s Book Club Pick follows a young woman whose life of crime is coming back to haunt her when she can’t claim her winning lottery ticket without giving up her identity and being blamed for her crimes.
Apple TV+ customization Written by Cassie Pappas (silo) and novelist turned TV-producer/writer Jonathan Tropper (This is where I leave you). The seven-episode series features an excellent cast including Anya Taylor-Joy, Annette Bening, Timothy Olyphant and Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor.
Victoria of Many Faces (Crunchyroll, July 7)

It seems fitting that a title with “many faces” would have many iterations. At first, it was a light novel series by Seiyuu and Nanna Fujimi; It was later converted into a Manga series illustrated by Komoe Ushino In 2022. Now it’s becoming an anime series!
Chloe is a spy who has been betrayed by the same organization she works for, so she quits the job – in the novel, she fakes her own death – and chooses an ordinary life. Things don’t go according to plan, thanks in part to a knight and a young girl. While Chloe’s organization is still searching for her, she finds that her detective skills still come in handy.
