Eight years after wrestling his final match, a former WWE Champion and Hall of Famer has confirmed that his in-ring career is over.
In the past year, three all-time WWE greats have announced their retirement from professional wrestling: Bill Goldberg, John Cena, and AJ Styles. All three lost their final matches to Gunther.
Now, another WWE legend has confirmed that he is done in the squared circle.
during an interview with Chris Van Vliet (h/t F4WOnline.com), The Great Khali announced that his wrestling career was over, noting that he was scheduled to undergo knee replacement surgery. If WWE approached him about a return, Khali says it would have to be brief.
“Yes, I am retired,” said The Great Khali. “Never know but I don’t want to go. Maybe WWE is asking ‘Will you come one day?’ So I can go. But just one, two days…not the whole time. Never. “My knee is bad so I can’t go full time.”
The Great Khali, standing 7 feet 1 inch and weighing 347 pounds, debuted on the April 7, 2006 episode of The Great Khali. smack down. He immediately became involved in a program with the brand’s top star, The Undertaker, and attacked him during a match with Mark Henry.
The Great Khali won the World Heavyweight Championship on the July 17, 2007 episode. smack downLast won the vacant title by defeating Kane and Batista in a 20-man battle royal. Two months later, he lost the title to Batista in a triple threat match involving Rey Mysterio at the Unforgiven pay-per-view.
Great Khali’s last WWE match was the 50-Man Greatest Royal Rumble in 2018

In November 2014, The Great Khali’s eight-year tenure with WWE ended when his contract expired. He has since made a few appearances for WWE and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2021.
His final WWE match was the 50-Man Greatest Royal Rumble, which was won by Braun Strowman. Additionally, this would be Chris Jericho’s final WWE match before signing with the rival AEW promotion a year later.
