It’s one thing for a holster company to claim that it listens to customer feedback, and another to actually hand over part of the design process to someone who tests gear for a living. That’s what Falco Holsters did with the new A914 GBGuns IWB Holster, which was developed with Graham Bates, the Army veteran and firearms journalist behind the GBGuns YouTube channel. The A914 is a hybrid Kydex-and-leather design aimed at 3 to 5 o’clock IWB carry, and I think if you’re a fan or have followed Bates’ gear reviews over the years, this collaboration weighs a little more than the average impressive holster tie-in.

The holster’s distinctive feature, the leather “Griffin Wing”, is designed to break against the body and distribute the handgun’s weight over a wider area of the belt, addressing a common complaint with larger carry guns. Combine this with a tunable retention screw, full sweat guard, and tuckable belt clip available in three widths, and the A914 reads like a holster designed around typical carry frustrations. Bates says months of daily testing in a variety of conditions while carrying the full-size Grand Power K100 MK23 informed the final design. The A914 is available now for $159.95 and fits a wide range of pistols and revolvers, including red-dot equipped models. Let me know in the comments if you’ll add this to your rotation.

about cooperation

The A914 was developed in collaboration with Graham Bates, creator of GBGuns. Graham is a veteran with multiple deployments, has spent over 60 days in professional firearms training courses, over a decade of daily experience, and years testing firearms and holsters as a firearms journalist.

Graham brings his experience, while FALCO Holsters brings its custom-fit manufacturing knowledge, handmade production and experience working with leather, Kydex and hybrid holster designs.

GBGuns’ Graham Bates said, “The development process gave me the opportunity to take what I’ve learned from years of carrying, training, and testing gear and apply it to a holster designed to solve everyday carry challenges.” “The A914 was refined over several months of daily use in both humid and dry conditions with the full-size Grand Power K100 MK23. I’m excited that others will now have the opportunity to experience the benefits of these design choices.”

“At FALCO, we believe the best ideas and designs come from honest feedback and from people who actually use the product,” said Robert Kovac, CEO of FALCO Holsters. “Working with Graham allowed us to challenge the design, refine the details, and create a holster that brings comfort, function, and long-term durability to everyday use.”

The A914 GBGuns IWB holster is made from US Kydex and premium Italian leather, bringing together American thermoplastic retention and European leather craftsmanship in a carefully developed concealed carry holster.
