Note the list price: This is a bit misleading, as every other retailer lists this set with an MSRP of $219, making that a 53% discount to the Amazon price. As you’d expect, this deal easily beats the sale prices at other hardware retailers like Lowe’s, Acme, and Ace.

This set is an especially great value for DeWalt tool owners: The charger will work with any DeWalt 20V battery, and includes a top-of-the-line XR PowerPack battery. The charger is a 6-amp unit, so it will quickly charge one power cell. The battery is a 4Ah unit, but because it has the XR Powerpack design, it provides more runtime and power than DeWalt’s standard 4Ah battery. This means you’ll get better performance without the weight and bulk of high-amp batteries.
I think this is a particularly smart pick for use with a 20V cordless drill: you get plenty of power, but you won’t tire your hand and arm as much as you would if you used a 6Ah or 8Ah unit.
