Cult Expands Performance Footwear Range With Barefoot Trainers & Carbon-plated Running Shoes

EE News DeskNov 02, 2026
The two launches target strength training and race-day performance, bringing specialised footwear features to Indian consumers at more accessible price points

Cult.fit has expanded its performance footwear portfolio with the launch of two new products: Cult Barefoot Training Shoes and ApexRacer Carbon-Plated Running Shoes. The launches address two distinct fitness requirements, offering purpose-built footwear for strength training and competitive running.

Developed for Indian athletes and fitness enthusiasts, the products bring specialised features and performance specifications typically associated with premium global footwear brands to more accessible price segments. While the Barefoot range focuses on stability and natural ground feel during strength training, the ApexRacer is designed for runners seeking enhanced performance on race day.

Barefoot Training Shoes Focus On Stability & Natural Movement
The Cult Barefoot Training Shoes are designed for strength training and functional workouts, with a zero-drop platform that keeps the heel and forefoot at the same level. The design aims to provide a stable, close-to-ground feel without the heavy cushioning found in conventional training shoes.

An extra-wide toe box, developed with Indian foot profiles in mind, allows the toes to spread naturally during workouts. The shoes also feature a breathable knitted upper, a ground-control rubber outsole for grip on indoor training surfaces, including wet gym floors, and a removable perforated insole for airflow and light protection.

Priced at Rs 3,699, the Barefoot Training Shoes are available in six colourways.

ApexRacer Brings Carbon-plated Technology To Race-day Running
Cult’s ApexRacer is its first carbon-plated racing shoe, designed for runners targeting personal bests across 5K, 10K and longer distances.

Weighing approximately 220 grams, the shoe combines a lightweight cushioned midsole with an integrated carbon plate that delivers approximately 70% energy return. The construction is intended to provide a responsive stride, while the breathable upper offers support and the outsole is designed for grip and durability.

Priced at Rs 7,999, ApexRacer is available in two colourways, bringing carbon-plated running technology to a wider consumer segment.

Consumer Feedback Informs Product Development
Commenting on the launch, Siddharth Suchde, Head of Footwear, Cult.fit Ltd, said, “Many of our product ideas at cult are shaped by detailed feedback from people who work out at our centres. Their inputs give us an insight of what fitness enthusiasts need and where existing products fall short. With Cult Barefoot training range and Cult Apex Racer carbon-plated shoes, we have built specialised footwear for two very different needs, with performance and affordability at the core. Our aim is simple: understand what consumers want and deliver products that genuinely add value to their fitness journey.”

Both products are available through the Cult Store website and Cult retail outlets. The launches expand the brand’s active lifestyle portfolio across specialised training and running categories.
