October 30, 2026 – (Motor Sports NewsWire) – S&S Cycle is proud to announce our 2027 Project—the S&S Cycle Performance Bagger Shootout. With all the news about bagger road racing, drag racing and of course traffic light races, we thought we would engage five talented builders to make headlines to last all year long
At the forefront of this exciting project will be the teams: Hoban Brothers Racing, Lifestyle Cycles, Morse Speed, Suburban Motors, and Tucker Speed—all building bikes around our soon to be released S&S Cycle MK132HO.
“This will be our third annual project build after a nearly fifteen-year hiatus,” said Owner/Director, Brett Smith. “The most recent project builds were focused on showcasing the variety of our engine families with vintage and modern custom builds. This year will be different and is meant to highlight our commitment to two foundational elements of S&S Cycle, Proven Performance and our commitment to ‘grassroots’ racing.” Smith went on to say, “We are pleased to be partnering with five competitors from Hoban Brothers Racing, Lifestyle Cycles, Morse Speed, Suburban Motors, and Tucker Speed as well as collaborating with the Bagger Racing League for this unique project build. I believe this project will demonstrate the competitive spirit of the build teams and the versatility of our Proven Performance products. We look forward to sharing this wonderful competition with the V-twin community.”
The bikes will be unveiled at Teddy Morse Harley-Davidson during Daytona Bike Week 2027. They will tour with the S&S Cycle rig to the Donnie Smith Show, Born Free and Sturgis as part of our tour display. But, in getting back to the roots of performance, the bikes will compete in a dyno shootout, a drag race and a timed lap competition that will coincide with a Bagger Racing League (BRL) event.

Details on the race-only S&S Cycle MK132HO and MK132B HO will be coming soon but for now know this engine is legal in the BRL (all classes) and the KOTB series which limits displacement to 131.95 ci. Engineered as an S&S race engine, it will deliver the performance racers want with the durability expected from an S&S Cycle product.
