BYD’s Fang Cheng Bao brand will launch the Ti 9 full-size plug-in hybrid SUV in China after November 15, 2026, followed by the domestic debut of its Shark plug-in hybrid pickup in late November or early December. General Manager Xiong Tianbo announced the schedule, with Ti 9 display and test-drive vehicles expected at dealerships in late October ahead of launch.
Fang Cheng Bao’s Ti 9 offers a six-seat layout and a 310 km electric range.
The Ti 9 will become the flagship of Fang Cheng Bao’s Ti series, which targets the urban family segment with unibody SUVs. It measures 5,270 mm long, 1,999 mm wide and 1,880 mm tall, with a 3,130 mm wheelbase.
Unlike the Bao 5 and Bao 8, which use body-on-frame construction, the Ti 9 adopts a monocoque structure and BYD’s DMS hybrid platform.
The cabin has a six-seat, 2+2+2 layout with independent second-row seats. Equipment includes heating, ventilation, and massage functions across all three rows, a 30-inch panoramic front display, and a 21.4-inch ceiling-mounted, fold-down rear entertainment screen.
The plug-in hybrid powertrain combines a 1.5-litre turbocharged gasoline engine rated at 115 kW (154 hp) with two electric motors producing up to 200 kW each. Together, they produce 400 kW (536 hp) and drive both axles.
A 66.48 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery from BYD’s FinDreams Battery delivers a claimed 310 km of electric-only range under the WLTC test cycle. BYD also claims a total range exceeding 1,600 km with a full tank and fully charged battery.
The Ti 9 comes standard across all trims with BYD’s DiSus-A air suspension with road-preview capability and the iATS (Intelligent All-Terrain System). It also features flash-charging technology and second-generation Blade batteries.
Exterior options include six finishes: Flowing Light Gold, Universal Silver, Starburst Gold, Crimson Cloud Red, Deep Space Blue and Meteorite Black, with solid and two-tone options.

BYD Shark pickup prepares for domestic launch in China
Fang Cheng Bao plans to introduce the Shark plug-in hybrid pickup in China in late November or early December 2026. The model debuted in Mexico in May 2024 and has since entered international markets.
China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) lists the domestic version as a light-duty multipurpose truck. It measures 5,457 mm long, 1,971 mm wide and 1,925 mm tall, with a 3,260 mm wheelbase. The cargo bed measures 1,520 × 1,530 × 515 mm.
The filing lists a curb weight of 2,710 kg, a gross vehicle weight rating of 3,495 kg and a rated payload of 460 kg.
The domestic Shark uses a 1.5-litre turbocharged gasoline engine, designated BYD476ZQF, with a net output of 135 kW (181 hp). Its all-wheel-drive system pairs a 170 kW front electric motor with a 150 kW rear motor, delivering a combined peak electric-motor output of 320 kW (429 hp). The listed maximum speed is 180 km/h.
An LFP battery supplied by Xi’an FinDreams Battery powers the plug-in hybrid system. Available domestic regulatory specifications do not list battery capacity or electric-only range, so overseas figures should not be treated as confirmed specifications for the Chinese version.
Pricing remains unannounced
Fang Cheng Bao has not yet announced domestic prices or trim levels for either model. The Ti 9 targets family buyers seeking a large, six-seat plug-in hybrid SUV, while the Shark extends the brand into the pickup segment.
