according to New York Post, Doerksen “died just four days after announcing his stage 4 cancer diagnosis.” Doerksen’s family confirmed his death in a post on Facebook. The singer died “in his sleep at his family home in Abbotsford, Canada”. Post Informed.

Family posts on Facebook It includes a photo showing the singer with his wife. “On July 21st at 6:45 a.m., our beloved Brian passed away peacefully in his sleep at his family home, surrounded by the people who loved him most,” the post read.
It added, “Thank you to the entire community around the world who prayed, prayed and sent incredible messages of love.”
“To the end, Brian continued to love those around him, encourage them for who they are, and express incredible gratitude to those in the medical field who did their best to help him. He was a beacon of light to his closest family and friends, even in his final moments, and continued to love well to the end. May we all be like him, to love openly, be kind, and be grateful, even in the midst of the hardest of times.”

The family kept people updated on Facebook. “Health Update: Thank you everyone for your continued prayers and support. We wanted to provide an update on Brian and his current condition.” A post read on July 20.
Page continued, “Right now, Brian has kidney failure and his decline is accelerating. The medical team has done everything they can and have advised that the best we can do is make him feel as comfortable and loved as possible.” “We are incredibly grateful to all the staff at St. Paul’s for moving mountains to help our beloved Brian.”
The page continued, “Please continue to pray for everyone involved, family and friends during this time. Every day that he is still with us, we are calling a gift. Every moment is truly sacred.”
A July 10 post read: “As many of you know, Brian has been suffering from severe pain due to undiagnosed medical problems for months. Moving forward, we will provide updates here. At this time, Joyce and Brian have limited ability to receive and respond to individual texts, but they welcome your thoughts and prayers and will see you here, at this location.”
It continued: “Now for the news: Brian is in hospital and now under the care of an excellent team of caring and capable doctors. Yesterday’s news was hard. In short, the scan revealed a mass in the pelvis and spots in the liver and close to the lungs and heart. Brian will have a colonoscopy and biopsy today and the results will be known in 3-5 days.”
