Buc-ee’s, home of the “world’s friendliest beaver,” will be adding 15 new locations in states like Florida, Texas and Tennessee. The giant gas station that claims to have the “cleanest bathrooms in America” will join 55 locations in 12 states.
These chains opened in Texas in the early 1980s and have since become a kind of tourist trap associated with all things American. The location sells barbecue, kitschy home goods in camo and hunter orange, and, of course, merchandise emblazoned with the store’s cartoonish beaver mascot.
The locations could expand to 74,000 square feet with 15 new openings by 2031. Below, you will find a list of stores arranged by opening date.
- San Marcos, Texas: August 12
- Benton, Arkansas: August 17
- Murfreesboro, Tennessee: November 16
From there, Buc-ee doesn’t provide specific dates for its new locations, just a year. The following will arrive in 2027:
- Ruston, Louisiana
- Kansas City, Kansas
- Gallaway, Tennessee
- St. Lucie, Florida
- Boerne, Texas
- Monroe County, Georgia
Two will open in 2028:
- Mebane, North Carolina
- Lafayette, Louisiana
The other four will open in 2029–2031:
- Ocala, Florida, 2029
- West Memphis, Arkansas, 2029
- Oak Grove, Kentucky, 2029
- Hardeeville, South Carolina, 2031
Buc-ee’s most recent expansion is in Phoenix, marking its first locations in both the Southwest and Arizona. Stan Beard of Buc-ee’s said, “We couldn’t have picked a better location for our first store in the Grand Canyon State. The perfect spot for our road-trippers visiting California or visiting the destination-rich Phoenix area, Goodyear will be the place to stop.” The new location marks the 56th. Soon, there will be more on the way.
